Fallen only to rise again

It has been almost a month since we were on stage as part of the dream project.

That night was a lot of fun.

The few weeks after that was a tough road. I had all of a sudden had nothing planned next to work on, no direction or purpose of where I was going and what to do next.

I became so down on myself to the point I felt so defeated I would not be able to pick myself back up. Thankfully to my husband Edward Elliott who spent countless hours talking to me and trying to help me pick back up and believe in myself and my direction, I started back on my journey. Ed had talked me about doing session with a women we had known from Dream Fridays, Sandhan from Australia who has been helping people with understanding themselves and there believes. http://sandhaninc.com/work-with-sandhan/feelings-buried-alive-never-die/

I did fight the idea at first but I knew I needed to do something to get myself going again. I spent a few hours with her on a Wednesday and wow I felt so great after learning why I was holding on to beliefs and what they were trying to teach me and being able to let go of those that were not helping me.

I am so thankful for having been through that proses and I look forward to doing more and learning much more from Sandhan. http://sandhaninc.com/ I realized that I do have the answers within me and do not need to learn from other coaches and books. After all we have learned from many great people and read many many great books that have helped us along this journey. The challenge for me was that I was not taking the action I needed to take from all that I learned. It's the fears that were coming up and they still do but I am so thankful I have someone I can share and talk them out loud with.

Do you let fear get in your way? I am reminded from a great mentor "Robin Sharma" said...On the other side of your fear lies your freedom. I try to remind myself of that daily.

I have learned that Planning is key and to work hard everyday in the direction I wish to go. Accomplish the tough things first in my day so the rest of the day flows much better.

It is wonderful having everyone from the TSA and others who share what they have learned. I have learned a lot from everyone and has added great blessings and value to our life's. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. Love Ya

Now I am on a direction with my weight loss, thanks to a great company that is helping me lose weight and create balance in my eating, which I love. As a family we are starting to create opportunities to exercise together. I have family going to join me on the journey as well. ya

Stay tuned to my next update on our homeschooling journey.

Love Always
Julie Elliott

  3. Julie,
Your honesty is refreshing. It is hard when one project ends to climb that fence once again and move forward. It sounds like you have a beautiful family who supports and cares deeply for each other. You are one lucky lady:)

  4. Julie,

I totally feel where you are coming from. I've experienced depressed moments from time to time and my wife has always been their to grab me. I remember when i was scammed out of my life savings i thought the world was over. But i found the strength to regroup and re asses my path and get back on the right track.

    Be blessed and Have Success

  5. Hi Julie,

Thanks for sharing such a personal story. I think that there are times in life when fear touches us all. I think for Heather when she started to lose more of her sight the darkness took on a literal form for her. She used her breathing and her years of meditation to help with that. And a good dose of pretending that she's got one of more of the Superfriends with her at any given time :) It sounds like you have some terrific support and lots of people that care about you. - Rob

  7. Hi Julie,
What a personal post that will help so many others to lift themselves back up and find a valuable purpose again.
It was great to hear how helpful Edward was to you. I can just hear the kinds of words Edward would use to help you realize the power that is in you.
I keep hearing good things about Sandhan so glad to hear that she was helpful to you too!
I agree with you that the TSA family is a source of great knowledge and inspiration and you are valuable part of the great TSA family.
Thank you for sharing your story!

  8. Thank you Julie for this refreshing and open post. I admire your ability to let people see into some of your biggest challenges. I know you will be stronger on the other side of your fear and the contribution you will make to others will reflect this journey.

I can't wait to hear more about the homeschooling.

    God bless,

  9. Hello Julie

Thanks for sharing your story and so nice to see how others have helped you.

It all comes down to taking action.

Sometimes we fear taking action that we get stuck in an education mode.

    Just do it :)

  10. Hi Julie,
Thanks for being so honest with your sharing. It was nearly 25 years ago when I jumped off the cliff into the world of Personal Development and relying on my own endeavours. After 3 years of following everything and eveyone, I learned a valuable lesson. My wife and I attended a workshop where we were told to listen to what was said, but choose our own path. We have done this ever since. I still purchase plenty of education, but I decide what to follow based on what feels right, not marketing hype. Not easy to do in this age of constant input, but it works.

I am sure you are on the right track and lucky to have someone like Ed at your side.

  11. Blessings to you, Julie. You've reminded me of when I've fallen as well.

As corny as it sounds, my favorite line in Batman Begins is when Alfred says to Bruce, "Why do we fall, sir? (dramatic pause) So that we can learn to pick ourselves back up."

You have a team of people... and a family who is cheering for you! Your next dream will dwarf your last!

  19. Julie,
Thanks for sharing from the heart. I have certainly been on an emotional roller coaster since I began my online adventures just a few short years ago. The process can be overwhelming. I make a little progress and then for awhile I feel like I am standing still or spinning my wheels. But my vision remains on my goals and dreams. And hopefully your vision remains steadfast. You and Edward have a wonderful relationship and that is a true gift to cherish every day.
    Warmly,
    Erica

  20. Hey Julie,

Awwww!! This post has so much love. I just joined the TSA family and now I know The Great Edward from edwardrecommends.com is your husband. That is so sweet!!! I share my blog with my husband Arthur and I agree and know where you come from when you say, "The challenge...was not taking the action I needed to take from all that I learned. It's the fears that were coming up and they still do but I am so thankful I have someone I can share and talk them out loud with." Sometimes fear outshines bravery but you always need that special someone to help you through. Thanks for sharing this post julie its putting a smile on my face.

    Have a good One,

  22. Hi Julie,
It is through the moments you have that help you to see a new way ... I have had plenty of those moments throughout my life and I have learned now that beliefs about yourself can be changed, you can create new ones. It takes a while but it can happen as I have done it. I appreciate so much you writing about this because you help other people by doing so. You are not alone, and you are wiser for it.. much love to you.. PS- I also read a lot of Robin Sharma. His latest book is wonderful - "The Leader Who Had No Title"..

  23. Thank you for sharing the challenges we all face. I've come to recognized them when they show up. I find some fierce affirmations in the mirror kicks my butt back into action.

Thanks for reminding me I'm not alone.

  24. Julie,
Congratulations on having the insight and support to recognize that none of us can do it all on our own. Yes, we do have the answers inside of us AND yes, we need others to help and nurture us from time to time to be able to fully access them.
    Wish you the best,
    Adam

  25. Wow, how transparent. I have felt that way too. I have had to remember to plan through big events that you are working toward. If I remember to plan the week after the big event (speaking,presentation...) I hit the ground running and don't create a lag for myself. I have been caught in the doldrums a lot by forgetting to do that. Thanks for the honesty.
